This is a Lockheed Martin Space Company (LMSC) Launch Readiness and Operations Manager position on the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) Site Activation Team (SAT) / Mission Control Team (MCT) at Schriever AFB (SAFB) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The AEHF SAT/MCT is responsible for conducting AEHF satellite launch readiness planning, and will perform console operations during pre-launch factory compatibility testing, Launch and Early Orbit (L&EO), orbit raising, payload activation, and on-orbit test using Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) and Milsatcom ground system resources. The AEHF Program develops and fields a constellation of geo-synchronous satellites to provide worldwide, secure, survivable, protected communications to Milstar and AEHF users.

The AEHF SAT/MCT Manager provides leadership, technical direction, and guidance for the AEHF Launch Readiness and Operations campaign at SAFB as an extension of the AEHF Factory team.. Position requires direct interface and coordination with senior level LM management,as well as AF/SMC and AFSPC/50SW customers. The AEHF SAT/MCT Manager is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all SAT/MCT products and services, and ensures they meet all assigned AEHF program milestones. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: drive execution of the SAFB AEHF Launch Readiness campaign, assure contractor responsiveness to our internal and external customers , direct and coordinate the planning, integration, scheduling, and training of SAT/MCT personnel activities, act as the primary point of contact for the SAT/MCT function, provide status and activity reports to LM Senior Management as directed, and assure timely training and certification for the MCT personnel to maintain a fully qualified staff. In addition, this position will maintain close coordination with the program systems engineering team, space segment team and the Mission Control Segment (MCS) development team to assure integration and coordination of test, activation, and transition activities. During Rehearsals and critical post-Launch operations periods, the AEHF SAT/MCT Manager will also provide realtime support as a member of the Flight Management team directing operations

Additional responsibilities include: Develop and implement near-term and long-term strategies to assure 100% mission success. Manage contract budget commitments and assure that staffing levels are maintained. Analyze and monitor cost trade-off opportunities among organizations and adjust assignments to implement improved cost performance where possible. Provide periodic reports and briefings on performance of established targets. Assure compliance with company and program policies, conduct personnel development training where appropriate, manage the performance manager process, perform salary management planning, and complete administrative tasks as required

Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated experience as a Lockheed Martin L-Coded Leader
Demonstrated experience in satellite launch readiness and satellite operations
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
Current DoD Secret clearance

Desired skills
Current DOD Top Secret clearance
Demonstrated experience managing budgets or as a certified CAM
Demonstrated experience with ECP proposals and BOE development
