Job Details

Seeking thought leader to drive the creation, impact and sustainment of the Electronics Engineering Organization. Shape the future by leading a collaborative consortium of electrical, power and systems engineers focused on designing, developing and delivering electronics for payload, spacecraft, missile, and ground hardware across Space Systems Company, servicing the Lines of Business (LOBs).
* Pioneer the development of a world class Electronics Engineering Organization to include:
- Innovative environment consisting of Satellite, Missile, and Payload Analog and Digital Electrical Systems Architectures and Electrical Common Products.
-Electrical Analyses and Design, Requirements & Verification, Subsystem Integration, Subsystem Component Verification Engineering, Circuit Card Assembly Design and Layout, Common Product CPEs, Power Subsystem Architecture and Design, and Standard Tools.
-Design and deliver affordable mission enabling capabilities raising the bar within the industry
-Provide organizational drive focused on leveraging business synergy to achieve a lower internal product cost structure and maximize efficiency.
-Technical, schedule and cost project management of critical Electrical products through all of the product lifecycle from concept development to delivery.
-Leverage the digital tapestry modeling and tool interconnectivity throughout the lifecycle (conceptual design through production and sustainment).
-Analysis of hardware with proper consideration of the environments and mission requirements with the incorporation of lessons learned with emphasis on producibility, performance, and quality.
-Conduct Engineering performance assessments, and reviews to assure the integrity of organization, meet annual budget and the related spend-plan that meets Engineering requirements.
-Review and approve the selection of tools, designs, recommendations and associated technology development.
-Provide an interface and collaboration to Production Operations to coordinate and implement productivity improvement and horizontal integration.
-Implement and lead technical knowledge management to develop and maintain core competencies, key technical skills, knowledge continuity and facilitate career advancement opportunities to employees.
-Identify and integrate Electrical technical concepts, mission assessments, technology, space and ground solutions into a cohesive and competitive approach for SSC.
-Support technology and mission analysis investment assessments and ensuring integration into technology roadmaps.
-Enable common usage of qualified product designs across multiple applications in SSC, thereby strengthening designs and facilitating knowledge sharing of successful past work performed with the LOBs, suppliers and other LM companies.
-Maintain technical integrity of the LOB/Program design baselines, incorporation of best practices, and optimum technical design.
-Demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership through leading and scaling the Space Systems Company organization.
-Work collaboratively with the LOB/Program Executives and leadership to:
-Identify and propagate design technology selection and best-practices
-Ensure technical domain expertise of the entire team, drive process and tool development and deployment,
-Resolve critical technical issues, support new business initiatives,
-Ensure standard technical processes are in use on programs,
-Manage staffing requirements and sustain engineering capabilities and preserve critical skills,
-Support proposals as required, Red Teams and INARs
-Develop talent with critical skills to meet Program and technology development requirements

Basic Qualifications
* Must have 10 years of full spectrum technical leadership with proven experience leading employees to perform productively and foster relationships in a cross-functional team environment
* 12 years of technical experience with demonstrated expertise in Electrical Engineering products and systems, development, anomaly troubleshooting and production of hardware.
* Experience managing technical, schedule and cost for a program or product.
* Excellent communications skills both verbal and written with the proven ability to communicate to all levels internally and externally.
* Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex and large scale technical issues/challenges.
* Demonstrated experience in developing technical talent and building pipelines to sustain technical expertise within the organization.
* Related Engineering degree is required.
* Active TS/SCI Clearance required prior to start

Desired skills
* Related technical master's degree is preferred.
* Proven experience as a thought leader with the demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action and deliver results with significant impact.
* Proven experience as a technical leader with cost and schedule responsibilities on a Program
* Wide variety of customer experience and exposure across LOBs.
* Experience in a position to make high stakes decisions.
* Extensive customer and external community relationships
