Job Details

Successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in the design of the L-88A and L-88(v)3 radar systems to include overall architecture as well as detailed knowledge of the RF design, hardware design, and software functional requirements for both airborne and ground subsystems. Candidate will demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with airborne transceiver electronics subsystems to include hardware/software interfaces, A/D converters, frequency synthesizers, RF filters, waveform generators, exciter, timing module, power amplifiers, transmitters, antennas and built in test modules. Candidate will be familiar with external radar interfaces to target extractor and tracking modules. Candidate will be capable of resolving hardware obsolescence issues by redesigning hardware/software and specifying necessary replacement parts
Successful candidate will be intimately familiar with design of radar processing functions unique to the L-88A and L-88(v)3 radars to include pulse compression, clutter lock circuits, MTI filters, and video processing functions (CFAR, FTC, M-of-N and Area Adaptive Threshold Mapper). Candidate will be familiar with the ground station Radar Control Unit (RCU) functions and the telemetry link interface to the airborne transceiver electronics subsystem

Basic Qualifications
• Subject matter expert in the design of the L-88A and L-88(v)3 radar systems to include overall architecture as well as detailed knowledge of the RF design, hardware design, and software functional requirements for both airborne and ground subsystems

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with airborne transceiver electronics subsystems to include hardware/software interfaces, A/D converters, frequency synthesizers, RF filters, waveform generators, exciter, timing module, power amplifiers, transmitters, antennas and built in test modules
