Job Details

Responsible for systems engineering, integration, and test for LM system design, development, implementation, deployment, operations, and maintenance of global telecommunications services to commercial and government markets. Work collaboratively with the system architects to assemble, motivate, lead, and facilitate system engineering teams across multiple integrated product teams (IPT) to:
• Develop and document requirements, architecture, and design; system verification and validation procedures; subsystem/system sell-off criteria; and subsystem/system integration and test approaches and suites
• Develop and document plans and approaches for system level integration of platform systems with communications system elements
• Develop and document business and operational CONOPs for the system
• Identify critical system level trade studies. Work with system architects, IPT leads, and program management to define trade studies, decision criteria, to assemble inputs, and to facilitate trade study decisions
• Ensure change management and version / configuration control for the system technical baseline including requirements, architecture, design, integration, and test plans
• Develop plans and budgets for executing technical aspects of the program

Basic Qualifications
The position requires at least 15 years of experience in telecommunications, wireless systems, and communications networks, including significant leadership roles in designing, developing, and deploying large scale wireless communications services to commercial markets. The candidate must have strong technical working knowledge of communications and networking domains including routing, quality of service, mobility, ad hoc networking, information assurance, traffic engineering, monitoring, network management / FCAPS, and Layer 1/2/3 framing / protocols. Strong understanding of RF propagation, characteristics, and techniques is critical

Desired skills
The ideal candidate will have experience leading design, development, and deployment of large scale wireless networks (thousands of nodes) supporting large numbers of users (over 100,000 users) for the commercial sector. The ideal candidate will also have past experience in developing and deploying first of a kind and/or state of art technologies and systems into operational / production environments.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong communications (written, verbal, and presentation) skills; ability to plan and work with budgets; proven business acumen; and, ability to work with, influence, and lead groups with diverse backgrounds and perspectives
