Primarily responsible for developing and optimizing reliability, maintainability and testability (RMT) approaches for System of systems, systems, subsystems and components. Specific tasks include:
• Ability to influence the complete life cycle; CONOPs, design, development, verification test, and sustainment based on program requirements by resolving RMT technical issues using analysis, data, industry practices, and academic research
• Ability to evaluate impact of environmental and operational factors directly related to RMT approach, analysis, and testing
• Perform trade studies to optimize RMT performance, and total ownership cost
• Allocate, Predict and document RMT requirements and analysis including the application of Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Fault Tree Analysis techniques to drive and refine the design
• Ability to plan and perform reliability testing and utilize reliability growth models as part of an overall reliability program
• Implementation of Failure Reporting And Corrective Actions Systems (FRACAS) process and interpreting statistical data derived from failure data to determine root cause and corrective actions to eliminate failure modes
• Integration of reliability, maintainability, and availability including Testability/Diagnostics with sustainment programs i.e Performance Based Logistics (PBL)
Conduct design analysis and system modeling, applying system engineering principles with emphasis on reliability, maintainability and testability, systems diagnostics, and troubleshooting. Also will develop analytical solutions to tasks within the Reliability and Maintainability discipline. Needs to possess good communication skills for customer presentations and have the ability to work in a team environment as part of a multi-disciplined team effort involving many companies and customers.
Required skills: Engineering Degree (EE, ME, IE), Microsoft Office, Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or 0 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree

Desired skills
10 years of experience and proven superior performance
in RMA engineering
• Extensive experience in customer interfacing and a subject matter expert in RMA
• Application of RMA disciplines as part of an overall systems engineering effort, with specific focus on how RMA tasks support and influence all aspects of the system lifecycle
• Very strong written and verbal presentation skills
• RMA experience in a diversity of sophisticated complex electrical and mechanical (hardware) systems
• RMA experience in software intensive systems (preferred)
• Background in reliability maintainability calculations in accordance with industry standards (MIL-HDBK-217, Bellcore/Telecordia, etc…)
• System level diagnostics experience (especially Initial BIT Assessment and Maintainability Demonstration knowledge) preferred
