Job Details

This position provides support to the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Weapon System Engineering, Integration and Test (WSEIT) Specialty Engineering (SPE) team. Selected candidate will report to the WSEIT-SPE Lead and work in a team environment supporting experienced analyst. Tasks will include:

(1) Perform Reliability, Maintainability and Testability Predictions/analyses, develop models & allocations,
(2) Performs FMECA and FFMEA analyses,
(3) Perform Reliability Growth Projections,
(4) Support Field Data collection and trend analyses, and supports database development.
(5) Develops, coordinates and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs.
(5) Recommends design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability.
(6) Compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes.
(7) Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards.
(8) Analyzes preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer and governmental agency reliability objectives.
(9) May develop mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks.
(10) As necessary, proposes changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability.
(11) May determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing, and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data

*This position will be contingent upon contract award, anticipated in March of 2018

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

A well organized, self-starter able to take direction, work effectively independently or in a team environment, and dedicated to make a significant contribution to mission success.

Good computer skills, good oral and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills are required

Desired skills
Experience with Microsoft office suite (word, PowerPoint, excel).

Ability to communicate effectively with leadership
