This position is a part of the Corporate Information Security - Readiness Testing - Red Team within the Enterprise Business Services (EBS) business unit and Enterprise Operations business area.

The position is targeted towards an entry level information security professional with an outstanding understanding of computer and information systems threats

This position is seeking a candidate with entry level penetration / security testing experience that possesses strong skills in general computer networking, hardware, software and information security threats. It is preferred that the qualified candidate be located in Orlando, FL to help support the Red Team Lab and localized security testing efforts.

This role will include responsibilities such as performing Red Team operations against people, processes and technologies which may include web applications, databases, web services, network devices, operating systems, infrastructure devices as well as information gathering then leveraging that to execute successful penetrating testing activities. The candidate will be tasked with various assignments such as reporting on completed analysis and working with open source intelligence related to penetration testing engagements. The candidate will also be expected to help evolve Red Team’s ability to collect, synthesize, and act on intelligence to enhance penetration testing and support the overall missions within Security Readiness Testing.

Position will represent Corporate Information Security and Security Readiness Testing Red Team while engaging, assessing, and mentoring operational staff and leadership responsible for supporting critical business and enterprise-wide initiatives and contracts. The position will involve performing various aspects of research and penetration testing across a wide variety of platforms and technologies. The candidate is expected to possess analytical and creative thinking skills as well as the ability to drive assignments to closure. Interaction with technical teams and leadership on significant business, technical and information security matters will be a regular occurrence.

Ideal candidate is someone with a well-rounded technical background in development and/or system administration that can apply their skills rigorously to solve problems. Able to develop solutions to technically tough and unique challenges or problems. Looking for someone ambitious and wanting to thrive, learn and become involved in red teaming and penetration testing


Basic Qualifications
• Previous Scripting/coding experience/exposure (Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, .NET, HTML5, PHP etc.)
• Basic networking knowledge – understand networking essentials, data flows, architecture, protocols, traffic, wireless, etc
• General Operating System knowledge– Solid understanding and practical experience in various flavors of Windows and Linux, OS configuration, file system structures, OS components, mobile operating systems etc.
• Software/hardware (lab) skills such as configuration in windows/*nix/DB, resolve basic network connectivity issues, resolve errors, perform server related tasks such as racking, troubleshooting, HDD issues, cabling, disassembling/upgrading/imaging, etc.
• Ability to obtain & retain a DoD Top Secret/SCI and other compartmentalized clearances
• Ability to travel (10%)

• Knowledge of adversarial activities in cyberspace with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) with the ability to emulate these TTP to assess vulnerability and risk
• Familiarity with Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) activity; Offensive attack hacker mindset
• Familiarity with Information Security practices
• Experience in exploiting web apps and web services security vulnerabilities including cross-site scripting, cross site request forgery, SQL injection, DoS attacks, XML/SOAP, and API attacks
• Comfortable executing information system penetration testing techniques and tools
• Knowledge of OSINT tools and techniques
• Practical experience with UNIX based and Windows operating systems
• Incident Response – forensics and system/network integrity
• Demonstrated proficiency in development of applications, custom tools, and solutions in various coding languages to include SQL, python, Django, perl, ruby, PHP, Java, etc
• Experience with security tools such as – Nmap, Metasploit, Kali Linux, Burp Suite Pro, etc., as well as other various testing tools
• Skills in open source data collection (OSINT) and acquisition such as investigating, researching, google hacking, etc
• Database experience – (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Certifications (CEH, CEPT, LPT, ECSA, Security+, GIAC {Web, wireless, forensics, mobile, exploit researcher})
