Job Details

The position: The Gordon Center for Medical Imaging (GCMI) in the Department of Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) in Boston, Massachusetts has a faculty level position for an outstanding individual capable of developing an independent research program, with independent funding, in radiochemistry for use in PET/MR cardiac, oncologic and brain imaging. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and train students and fellows, and will have joint appointments at MGH and HMS.

 

Qualifications: Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. in chemistry/radiochemistry, biology, materials sciences or related fields and have at least 3 years post-doctoral research experience. Applicant’s skill set must include chemistry, biology and small animal imaging techniques. Candidates must have a strong publication record.

 

Environment: The Department of Radiology at MGH is equipped with complete facilities for synthetic chemistry, biology and small animal imaging. The Department has the first mobile brain PET/CT, the first brain PET/MRI, and the first whole-body PET/MRI in the USA. It is also equipped with a substantial computing facility for parametric image analysis, tomographic reconstruction, Monte Carlo simulation, and other computationally intensive research applications.   Applicant can interact with a large (80+), growing research group in diverse areas of imaging technology.
