The candidate will conduct and manage research and development efforts associated with Low Observable (LO) antennas, radomes, frequency selective surface (FSS), and LO hardware integration. The candidate will provide technical support to internal research and development (IRAD) and contracted research and development (CRAD) projects, help drive technology development directions, and shape RF technology development roadmap. The selected candidate will assist the Electromagnetics organization define, establish and maintain its computational electromagnetic tools roadmap

Candidates with broad spectrum of understanding in the following fields are highly preferred: low observable radome/antenna design, low observable materials, EO/IR testing/integration, low observable hardware design and test

The successful candidate is expected understand computational electromagnetics, familiar with antenna theory, have knowledge in RF hardware prototyping/fabrication, possess experience in the design of antennas, radomes and other LO hardware. Background and experience in the field of RADAR cross section (RCS) reduction of radomes and antennas is preferred. Expertise in antenna/radome/RF hardware integration on air vehicles is highly desirable. Familiarity with Electronic Warfare capabilities such as Electronic Attack (EA) and Electronic Support Measure (ESM) is highly desired. Demonstrated hands-on expertise in standard industry tools such as HFSS, Microwave Studio, FEKO and MatLab is preferred.

This position requires concise presentations to customers and engineers on concepts, development and engineering trade study results. Good written and verbal communication skills are required

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Active Top Secret Clearance is Required

Basic Qualifications
• Signature Phenomenology
• LO Prediction Codes (Low Observable)
• Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Experience
• MatLab

Desired skills
• Masters degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• Strong background in the field of Electromagnetics and Radar Cross Section (RCS) reduction of antenna/radomes preferred
• Good communication skills preferred, as position requires interfacing with internal and external customers to report technical and scheduling status.
• Experience leading teams and interfacing with external customers, and experience in leading code development teams and basic project management skill sets desired
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
