The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is looking for an experienced Radar Engineer who can think outside of the box and doesn’t want to do the same old thing every day. This opportunity is within the Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory (SEAL) Lab.  SEAL researchers investigate and develop radio/microwave frequency sensor systems, with particular emphasis on radar systems engineering; electronic protection and electronic attack; ELINT; COMINT; MASINT; electromagnetic environmental effects; radar system performance modeling and simulation; signal, array, and data processing; sensor fusion; and antenna technology.

In this role you will utilize your subject matter expertise in radar to win research work, architect solutions and deliver solutions to challenging radar problems. There will be a heavy emphasis on business development activities including briefing customers and writing proposals.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience delivering radar solutions as a system engineer, have deep theoretical radar knowledge, have managed projects, and have interest in business development.


•Master’s degree or PhD in related field or equivalent combination of education or experience.
•US Citizenship AND/ OR the ability to get a security clearance.
•Expertise in radar, electro-magnetics, applied math or signal processing.
•Experience managing projects.
•Experience briefing customers, writing proposal and business development.

Other: Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance.  Current active Top Secret and SCI clearances are desired but not a requirement.  Selection process will include passing a pre-employment background screening.
