Job Function:


The Physical Sciences, Nanosystems, and Quantum Group seek an excellent summer intern to work on experimental quantum key distribution (QKD) at our MITRE - Princeton, NJ office. The position entails testing and evaluating QKD systems as well as considering what standards should be put into place for such systems. Required skills include experimental physics and some knowledge of quantum mechanics. Optics experience a plus.


Required Qualifications:

BS degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Working towards graduate level degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Experience in experimental quantum optics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in experimental quantum optics; specific experimental optics-based experience in at least one of the following areas: quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum cryptography is preferred.
