Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance/Test Lead to ensure the quality and on-time delivery of software that is used in the field with current users. The candidate will have regular interactions with technologists, management, project management, developers, and other technical leads throughout the period of performance.

Our team is looking for smart, innovative, strong team members to join an established program of developers, designers, testers, and documentation experts. 

This is a full-time, permanent position available, starting immediately. The primary work assignment would be as the lead quality assurance/tester.  

-Design and creation of test conditions and test cases ensuring traceability to use cases.
-Assist in implementation and configuration of test environments and tools.
-Ability to communicate effectively with technologists, management, project management, developers, and other technical leads throughout the period of performance.
-Lead conduct of test sequencing, test execution, defect management, results & metrics reporting.
-Handle and decide on action of escalating issues and risks from test team.
-Ability to perform as part of a high performing team.
-Flexibility, adaptability and ability to deal continuously with ambiguous situations

Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for managing and mentoring a small team of testers; assists with task and project estimation; establishes and refines testing standards, guidelines, and practices



-BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a comparable degree with a minimum of 6 years relevant technical and business work experience as Quality Assurance Tester.
-Interest in pursing MS degree or continued education

-6 years of experience in defining test cases, executing test scripts, and providing user training and support.
-Knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile.
-Knowledge of Business and Quality Assurance Processes.
-Solid oral and written communication skills. Solid Presentation Skills.
-Experience with automation and performance tools

-Working knowledge and experience with debuggers, profilers, and installers
-Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OO design
-Strong problem solving skills
-Strong planning, communication, and troubleshooting skills
-Motivation to contribute to an impactful solution

-Candidate must be a US citizen capable of holding a Top Secret DoD Security clearance. An active clearance is a major plus.
