The QA Lead will be required to: define an overall testing strategy including automation, performance, and mobile testing for assigned projects; apply alternative approaches such as risk-based, white box, and web service testing as applicable; develop and oversee the implementation of approved testing plans and activities for System, System Integration, and End-to End Testing; track overall testing progress and report status and any issues to management and project team members; consult with the project team regarding all aspects of quality assurance and testing; develop and enforce quality at all phases of the project lifecycle; initiate the quality assurance process early in the project life cycle by concentrating on requirements and emphasizing unit testing; emphasize quality assurance later in the project life cycle by supporting and ensuring that proper plans are in place for User Acceptance Testing; coordinate with automation and manual team to provide daily updates in terms of deliverables; review the quality assurance related to blockers/critical issues and provide updates in daily scrum meeting; work with senior leads and managers in terms of QA process and the new implementation provided; work closely with the offshore team and get daily updates; attend grooming session on the new implementation regarding the future release and raising any concerns or doubts in terms of QA process and its timelines; attend planning session to provide QA efforts and its estimates; send weekly status updates to client on automation and manual to prepare test reports (test coverage, and test execution with percentage wise); and, provide failure analysis on the automation execution and verify manually to ensure that no defects are observed during automation.
