Lockheed Martin is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to join our creative team of engineers performing analysis, research, and design for propulsion missile systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in some of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control’s highly innovative solutions to complex technical problems facing the aerospace industry. The assignment addresses analysis and research encompassing multiple engineering disciplines

The candidate will perform analysis to assess the design relative to its required environments and design constraints. The candidate engineer will work with various types of propulsion systems, as required to satisfy program requirements. Tasks also include coordination with product design, interface development, coordination with other analysis group engineers, Materials, and other departments. The engineer will also be involved in preforming detailed analysis of various propulsion types including turbo and air breathing engines

Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth

Basic Qualifications
-BS degree from an accredited college, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
-2 to 5 years of professional experience
-The candidate must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.
-Experience with the various aspects associated with propulsion system development and production to include associated subsystems and components.
-Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). -Excellent writing and verbal communication skills for generating various specifications, statement of requirements, test plans, test reports and presentations.
-The candidate must be capable of performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and working in an inclusive, team environment.
-The candidate will also be considered experienced, but still a learner, and able to develop creative and innovative solutions to complex engineering problems
-Candidate must have strong leadership and organizational skills
-Candidate must have the ability to travel

Desired skills
-MS degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, or related field
