Softwear Automation is disrupting the $100B sewn products industry by replacing sewing labor with cutting edge robots. We are located near Georgia Tech's campus, in midtown Atlanta. We are hiring several qualified applicants for full-time positions and internships who are passionate about solving new problems in order to improve the industry.


Role Description: 

As a member of a highly collaborative and groundbreaking team, project managers have 'end to end' accountability for project outcomes, making this a great position for the aspiring engineer who wants to show his/her PM abilities (must be an engineer).

This role serves as the executor and trusted advisor to the product development team and assumes both execution responsibilities of specific project management areas such as scheduling, budget management, risk management, as well as technical project and program management governance support responsibilities.  The more you demonstrate you can handle, the more responsibility, recognition, and upward mobility you will be given!

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Execute Project Plan:

  • Execute the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve the project goals.
  • Deploy effective and auditable methods for areas under the Project Management Office's responsibility
  • Implement tools and best practices
  • Track & highlight trends for review and analysis; prepare appropriate contingency plans

Communicate Project Plan:

  • Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations regarding the project plan to align the stakeholders and team members
  • Share areas of concern regarding possible deviations from project and program plans
  • Prepare risk management reports and statuses

Monitor and Control Project Work:

  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor the progress of the project,
  • Identify and quantify variances, perform required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques to keep the project plan accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes.
  • Perform project audits/reviews and extracts lessons-learned

 

Requirements

Critical Skills & Experience:

  • Must be an engineer / have an engineering degree with experience utilizing that degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with project methodology and management
  • Experienced managing PMO processes – scope, scheduling, timelines, budget
  • Experience with hardware, software, and product development (critical)
