The Production Manager will report directly to the THAAD Production Program Director. The Production Manager will be responsible for implementing, refining, and managing a Transition to Production management system as the Production Lead for all hardware obsolescence and development transitions into production. This position is responsible for developing and managing THAAD Interceptor and Ground component producibility and affordability initiatives, and overseeing the Production Risk and Opportunity process. Another significant responsibility is to manage all aspects of the SSC IWTA from MFC, including proposals, contract execution, and personnel support. Other tasks may include supporting the Production PM and Interceptor PM on special assignments associated with ensuring successful execution on current contracts, and opportunities for future contracts

**The position can be located in either the Sunnyvale, CA or Grand Prairie, TX location

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in a related area
• 10 years of experience, as a leader, in a production environment
• Experience managing affordability initiatives
• Possess a production mindset
• Knowledge and experience with hardware development and obsolescence process, and the ability to define the impacts of that process on the production transition
• Experience executing Production Risk and Opportunity initiatives
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to recognize issues, identify and communicate with appropriate stakeholders, and take corrective action where necessary
• Good decision making skills, with the ability to evaluate situations using all available data and formulate paths forward accordingly
• Understanding of the IWTA process and ability to reach out to functional organizations to provide appropriate staffing

Desired skills
• 5 years of experience as a CAM
• Earned Value Management experience
• PM or APM experience on a production program
• THAAD experience
• Bachelors degree in the areas of Engineering or Business Management
