The LCS Sustainment Post-Shakedown Availability (PSA) Material Project Manager will support the PSA Program Mangers to ensure that the correct material is ordered, received, kitted and delivered to the executing facility. They will be required to travel to a ship’s location for planning, or execution, support. This person shall report to the Program Management organization. They will be the primary interface with the In-Service Ship Design team for technical validation of equipment and material; and to the Logistics team for the procurement, kitting and delivery of the material. They are expected to perform the following tasks:
1. Drive the PSA Planning schedule with regards to material identification, procurement, kitting and delivery;
2. Develop metrics to support Program Management decisions;
3. Liaison with In-Ship Service Design and Logistics Functional Product Team;
4. Validate and document material deficiencies on LCS 1 Class Ships;
5. Travel (15%-30%) and work in a shipyard/shipboard environment; and
6. Other tasking as required

Basic Qualifications
1. Project management experience.
2. Experience developing, or managing, ship repair work packages.
3. Ability to research design and implementation issues, read and translate ship drawings, and communicate implementation approaches and deficiencies.
4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities

Desired skills
1. Experience planning, estimating, or managing ship repair.
2. Navy maintenance process and resources familiarity
3. Understanding of the material process for large ship repair processes
4. Experience with Joint Forces Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and specifically with the development of 4E Work Specifications
5. Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
7. Knowledge of LCS Program, the ship, and its systems
