Job Details

This is a full-time position located at Cape Canaveral Florida supporting the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM). This position is for the project management of new support equipment (SE) product development and existing SE product update/refresh mods. The candidate will be expected to develop proposals, support negotiations, and then lead projects thru completion. The candidate will be expected to actively manage and balance technical, cost, and schedule requirements for these projects. The candidate will be responsible for project risk identification and mitigation strategy development. The candidate will be expected to provide leadership & direction to a diverse SE Integrated Product Team (systems, design, test, logistics, procurement, planning, etc.) and be expected to coordinate resource requirements through IPT management. The candidate will be expected to integrate internally within Lockheed Martin and externally with the government funding and technical customers and associate contractors. The candidate will be responsible for status reporting of their projects to the CAM and Sr. leadership including items for awareness and escalation. The candidate may be responsible for integrating a geographically diverse team. Some CONUS travel is expected

Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience

* This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen
* Must have the ability to receive a Final Secret security clearance to be considered

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.Experience leading projects, teams, and development efforts
Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)
Experience with risk and opportunity identification and mitigation

Desired skills
Project management certification or equivalent
Subcontract management experience
Baseline control experience, earned value management (EVM), control account management (CAM) or equivalent training/experience
Support equipment, missile, or production operations experience. FBM would be highly desirable
Experience in proposal development and customer negotiation
Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and problem resolution skills
