The Role – The Advanced Manufacturing Technology Project Engineer, residing in the Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) organization, is responsible for initiatives within the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business area and reports to the director of Advanced Manufacturing within Production Operations. The Organization - The AMT identifies, develops and transitions new and discriminating technologies for RMS product applications working collaboratively across all of the Lines of Business and functional support teams. RMS has a broad portfolio including Electronic Warfare and Radar Systems, Training and Logistics Solutions, Cyber and Ships Solutions, Undersea Systems and Rotary Winged Systems. Our goal is to provide innovative solutions at the right cost, meeting our customer’s most important requirements and solving complex problems. This exciting position will help define the future and be responsible for developing advanced technologies and guide their development and insertion aligned with the RMS strategic plan. These initiatives include next generation technologies, focused in areas such as advanced electronics, including but not limited to: next gen printed wiring board technology, circuit card assembly, and flexible hybrid electronics, 3D circuitry, thermal management. This position will be the advisor to the team and responsible for the technical leadership and transition to production for the research initiatives including overall budget and schedule management. The role includes being the spokesperson on advanced projects and will collaborate with design engineering and program offices to determine roadmaps and applications for the advanced technologies, accelerating technology in new and developing products

Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor of Science in engineering or a technical field -Experience in developing customer specific strategies and tactics to optimize the bottom line results - Should be able to effectively utilize various research sources as well as first hand experience to unlock key insights and opportunities - Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be highly energetic and self-motivated - Ability to take on projects to completion with little or no coaching - Superior analytical skills, plus demonstrated skills in technology development and execution. - Must have experience working in a team environment and possess the ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently -Experience in Earned Value Management practices

-Capable of working in fast-paced environment, highly proactive and able to work under set targets and time schedules. -Maintain industry and product knowledge to be able to address competitive issues as it relates to present and future emerging technologies. -Establish statistically relevant quality metrics for test results to drive continuous improvement actions in development/ manufacturing
