The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The program’s two primary operating locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA and Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services. This position will work with a team delivering the program's spacecraft fueling support requirements.

The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating, planning, organizing, controlling, integrating, and completing assigned engineering projects and tasks. Such tasks will include:

• Develop, monitor, and update Project Plans, Work Orders, budgets, milestones, schedules, reports, and purchase requisitions as necessary ensure compliance with engineering principles, PLSSS standards, OSL Cape customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
• Assist other Cape PLSSS Project Engineers and Responsible System Engineers (RSE) with the proper creation and execution of their assigned projects
• Coordinate with Engineers and service providers as needed to ensure updates to the Cape Operations and Integrations Scheduling process.
• Support the Cape PLSSS Project Engineering Manager with Engineering review and evaluation of design changes, specification and drawing releases.
• Properly coordinate and resolve actions and activities driven by new technical developments, resource scheduling, engineering changes, and customer requirements as needed to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Supports PLSSS Cape Proposal Manager with coordination and creation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) as needed
• Provide support to the PLSSS Site Lead and Chief System Engineer with process and documentation updates as assigned
• Support the Asset Condition Assessment (ACA) program supporting ACA, Engineering, and Operations Lead in the execution of their assigned duties
• Adhere to proper execution of PLSSS Configuration Management, ERB, and ECR process


Must be a self-motivated, critical thinker willing to work in a Matrix-type environment.

The applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, candidates who have 8 years of directly relevant experience will be considered.

• Knowledgeable of Project Management principles.

• US Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance is required for this role

Desired skills
• PMP certification
• Familiar with PMI and PMBOK
• Experience working with MS Project
• Proven experience successfully working in a high paced, high stakes work environment
• Experience with MAXIMO
• Experience in developing technical documentation including System Configuration Documentation and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams
• Internship/experience with facility maintenance, component maintenance, or other process technical exposure
• Internship/experience with planning, scheduling, design, or project implementation is a plus
