Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) pools its three core tasks of research, higher education, and innovation in a mission. With about 9,400 employees and 25,000 students, KIT is one of the big institutions of research and higher education in natural sciences and engineering in Europe.

The Institute of Radio Frequency Engineering and Electronics (IHE) within KIT Division III ‒ Mechanical and Electrical Engineering ‒ is seeking to fill the following position at the earliest date possible

Professor (W3) in Integrated High-Speed Circuits

Applicants should have a strong scientific research profile as well as excellent teamworking and didactic skills. Several years of successful research activity including experience in teaching and with the acquisition of third party funding is expected. We strongly encourage young scientists in this innovative field of research to apply.

The applicants research profile should cover innovative microwave circuit concepts for wireless and fiber optic communication systems and for novel sensor systems. Applicants should be experts in one or several of the following subject areas
- design and realization of monolithically integrated millimeter wave and THz circuits
- millimeter wave circuits for future radar and sensor systems (e.g. automotive radar, spectroscopy)
- mixed-signal circuits for broadband optical communication systems
- microwave circuits and front-end concepts for future mobile communication systems

The KIT provides an excellent research environment with a large variety of cooperation opportunities.
We expect a strong teaching commitment both in existing and newly established study programs. This includes general undergraduate lectures and advanced courses on high-speed integrated circuits.

The requirements for appointment correspond to the Higher Education Act of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg (LHG), Article 47.
