Product Support Engineering (PSE) is looking for a talented and motivated engineering lead to implement the airframes portion of our overseas Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) effort. The position is located in CT and will support functions in both Shelton CT and the UAE. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to establish airframes capability in the UAE, other activities will be added as required. Travel up to 50%

The UAE Airframe Lead is responsible for the contractual, technical, and schedule performance required in establishing minor and major Airframe Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) capability for UH-60L and UH-60M platforms. The candidate will lead an engineering team with direct interfaces to other Engineering functional groups, Purchasing, Logistics, Publications and Suppliers. They will assist in proactively managing and resolving any issues or conflicts that may interfere with the establishment of this facility and DLM capability in the UAE.

The candidate is responsible but not limited to the following:

Validate condition of tooling/equipment prior to installation.
Plan and supervise the installation of tooling, equipment and spares.
Witness and verify that all Depot Work Instructions (DWIs) are sufficient for the installation capability and represent SAC overhaul and repair best practices and procedures
Ensure all Sikorsky quality and flight safety standards are met
Provide facility layout recommendations and requirements to the customer and participate in 3P events.
Provide standard documentation of validation process to the customer (Sikorsky Engineering Reports)
Manage any required revisions/reworks to tooling and equipment as required
Support SAC Training during OJT and conduct validations using simulation and/or demonstration validation via performance
Reporting on standard processes and metrics to the program Lead Engineer and Program Manager

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of Sikorsky Engineering work experience strongly preferred
The candidate is expected to have experience managing a diverse group of engineers and technical experts.
Experience with engineering design and/or manufacturing processes and/or maintenance practices is required.
Candidate will have a strong technical background in airframe/structures.
In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the ability work in a dynamic environment with short deadlines
4+ years of Overhaul and Repair or Production Aerospace experience is required
Airframe Repair and Tooling as well as the impact that requirements changes may have on cost and schedule a plus
Strong knowledge of MS Office products, including, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point as well as Primavera, Winsight and AutoCAD
6-10+ years of experience in Airframe Design and Tooling or related field
