Job Details

A post-doctoral research position is available in the Non-Invasive Functional Imaging and Targeted Therapeutics Lab at UNC Chapel Hill.  This biomedical engineering research group explores novel ultrasound technologies for disease-related imaging and targeted therapeutics.  Researchers will be involved in imaging system design, testing, and applications, image and signal processing, and implementation in both preclinical and clinical environments. This position will involve working with a team as well as preparing papers, reports, and contributing to grants, and thus excellent writing and communication skills are required. Experience with experimental system fabrication and set-up will be valuable, including electronics such as oscilloscopes, function generators, A-D systems, 3-D printers, machine tools, etc.  Expertise in MATLAB is highly desired.  Prior experience with ultrasound systems and acoustics is not a requirement, but will be very beneficial.  Applicants are expected to have a PhD in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Acoustics, Optics, or a related field.  The position is located on the University of North Carolina campus in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
