Project description

The project focuses on developing a wearable device that can continuously monitor blood pressure. Research will include investigating the feasibility of a wearable device that can provide real-time information on blood pressure for healthy and non-healthy individuals for applications related to health, fitness, and disease monitoring and progression.

As soon as possible.

Menrva Lab:

The Menrva lab is a highly productive research group (about 25 publications per year) primarily focusing on Bionics. The lab is directed by Dr. Carlo Menon, Professor, Tier 1 Canadian Research Chair in Biomedical Technology. Dr. Menon received the Career Investigator Award from the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research and the New Investigator Award from the Canadian Institutes of HealthResearch.



The candidates should have expertise in at least two of the following areas:

  •        Biomedical engineering
  •        Sensors
  •        Biosignal processing
  •        Cardiovascular sciences
  •        Health science and technology


Note 1: This is a highly interdisciplinary project where tangible results should be obtained. Candidates should be interested in working with a team on hands-on activities.
