The 2 year Post Doctoral Fellowship is being funded by RTM Vital Signs, LLC and Thomas Jefferson University.

The Research Fellow will assist Jeffrey I Joseph, D.O. and Marc Torjman, PhD and RTM Vital Sign engineers develop long-term implantable vital sign sensor systems and perform in-vitro and animal research studies.

RTM Vital Signs and TJU are developing a real-time vital sign monitoring system with diagnostic and therapeutic algorithms and key data transmitted via cell phone to a central monitoring station for computer and clinical interpretation. Long-term implantable sensors and non-invasive sensors are being developed that monitor the blood pressure waveform, electrocardiogram, hemoglobin oxygen saturation, minute ventilation, heart/lungs sounds and core temperature of ambulatory outpatients.  Algorithms will monitor and diagnose a high risk clinical situation in real-time, leading to more timely, efficient and effective medical/surgical therapy.

The research fellow will be a full time employee of Thomas Jefferson University. The position requires a 2 year commitment. PhD requirement. Would consider a PhD engineer with a background in other fields.
