Job Details

THAAD Interceptor Parts, Materials & Processes (PMP) team lead. Responsible for leading team of engineers in the handling of PMP changes for the THAAD Interceptor in support of production. Lead management of submittals of PMP changes to THAAD Parts, Materials and Processes Control Board (PMPCB), the joint LM/THAAD Program Office (TPO - government customer) parts approval authority. Lead team in technical evaluation of subcontractor/sub-tier change requests related to EEE parts and materials, including Parts Change Notices (PCNs) from COTS EEE part vendors and changes due to obsolescence; determine qualification/requalification requirements and submit to government for approval; plan and execute parts qualification testing efforts. Drive execution of PCN evaluations, qualification efforts and PMPCB submittals. Daily communication and coordination with government counterparts to ensure clear understanding of submission status. Frequent and clear communication with LM leadership on status and paths forward of all of the above. Frequent and clear communication with each subcontractor Integrated Product Team (IPT) to insure alignment and subcontractor PMP performance/path forward. Successful candidate will demonstrate ownership and accountability for areas of responsibility, will make and meet commitments and will doggedly drive clear and concise communication to ensure alignment among PMP team, IPTs, PMPCB, TPO and LM leadership

Basic Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering degree

* 3 years of engineering leadership experience leading a team (either as an L-coded manager or as technical lead)

* Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, management and customers

* Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships within program, with other enterprise organizations, and with customer personnel

* Experience as an engineer - Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret complex technical requirements and to develop technical plans/solutions to satisfy those requirements

* Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a highly dynamic, high tempo environment

* Experience interfacing with program leadership and customer representatives

* Must be willing to travel 1-2 times per month

Desired skills
*Technical experience in Parts and/or Materials & Processes
*Experience as a Lockheed Martin coded manager or technical lead, particularly in engineering and/or program/project management
*Experience working closely with subcontractors
*Experience with part procurement, qualification and traceability issues
*Familiarity with configuration control and quality control tools and systems (e.g. EPDM, Q-notes, VRICs)
*Experience interfacing with customer representatives at the GS-14 and O-5 levels or above and LM leadership at the L-7 level or above
*Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and coach a team, which includes the execution and evolution of a business rhythm that effectively communicates and achieves program objectives and priorities
