European Operations Department is seeking a highly motivated candidate to
provide critical systems engineering expertise for Joint capabilities
development to the Strategic Capabilities Office Europe cell.  The successful candidate will be instrumental
in achieving the following customer outcomes: provide in-depth insights on
USEUCOM and Component priorities and needs, advise on the identification,
analysis, development and introduction of disruptive applications, identify new
and unconventional uses of existing systems, and develop analytic approaches to
inform data driven decision making at USEUCOM and SCO.


  • System
    engineering and analysis experience with DOD and IC RDT&E, rapid fielding
    offices, and acquisition programs.
  • Strong
    communication skills, and experience communicating concepts and technical
    approaches to DOD leaders, staff, and engineering personnel.
  • TS/SCI


  • Exposure
    with technology approaches to defeat A2/AD capabilities, especially within
    existing DOD or IC programs
  • Experience
    DOD or Service labs and acquisition community
  • Experience
    preparing independent assessments and analysis of alternatives.
  • Knowledge
    of DoD Deliberate and crises planning.
  • Critical
    thinking and problem-solving skills to include independent analysis of
    situations and solutions to address high level guidance and customer outcomes
  • Analytic
    skills to include the ability to integrate data to produce recommendations with
    relevant objective evidence/artifacts.
  • Facilitation
    skills to include planning and designing group processes, recording decisions,
    and ensuring action is applied to outputs.
  • Exposure
    to MITRE business processes and rhythms including MIP, tech center and program
    division collaboration, and MITRE business process for staffing and funding.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in one of the following disciplines, Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering and 10 years of related experience including 2 years of leadership experience.  The candidate will demonstrate an ability to foster relationship development. The candidate demonstrates ability to and guides others towardthe proper balance of a) product depth with timeliness and b) technical improvements with programmatic constraints, even when hard compromises are required. The candidate is recognized by senior management as a thought leader.

Minimum Education/Experience:
BS and 8 years of related experience.
