Researches, plans, designs and develops thermal control products and systems for Optical Payloads/instruments, subsystems, and components. Hardware development includes design, analysis, and test planning/test of the proposed thermal control product/system. Basic Qualifications
Technical proficiency with thermal analysis tools (Thermal Desktop, etc). Understanding of or willingness to learn attributes necessary to develop thermal control systems that will maintain optical stability of the hardware. Knowledge of or willingness to learn unique design aspects of optical thermal control systems. Self-starter with initiative and tenacity to meet deadlines with quality products. Team-player with the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals. Effective written and verbal communication skills

Desired skills
Knowledge of the impacts of thermal control on Optical Designs. Experience designing and analyzing space flight thermal control systems. Experience designing thermal control systems for opto-mechanical hardware. Understanding of optical system thermal constraints and interactions. Demonstrated potential to advance in technical and programmatic responsibilities supported by collaborations with subject matter experts in the field and challenging technical achievements
