Lockheed Martin is looking for world-class technical leadership talent in Operations Analysis to join our historic Skunk Works team in Palmdale, Ca. We are seeking a candidate who thinks strategically and creatively with proven analytical & engineering problem-solving skills; is passionate about working on cutting-edge design concepts and comfortable with ambiguity; and thrives in a high-performing team environment
The selected candidate will serve as the Technical Lead for a portfolio of analysis efforts supporting new business capture, strategic decision making, advanced concept evaluation, and innovation and improvement of analytical products. The candidate will be in charge of planning, scoping, and executing analyses to quantify the impact of system design, payloads, tactics, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and advanced technology employment on survivability & mission effectiveness; supporting requirements definition, operational & cost effectiveness studies, and military utility assessment. The candidate will guide the planning and execution of team efforts to successfully meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives; solve critical/complex technical problems; and deliver data analysis to assist decision makers in strategic business pursuits. These analyses will directly support decisions on program pursuits, platform designs, and technology development

The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills as the position will require developing and maintaining key relationships; interfacing with program management, company senior leadership, Business Strategy and Development, and customers to ensure success of the team’s analyses efforts and garner an understanding of customer expectations. The candidate will also be responsible for multi-disciplinary analyses and collaboration with other technical and support organizations

Responsibilities will also include: guiding modeling of military systems and scenarios in digital simulations, executing trade studies utilizing constructive engagement and/or mission simulations, quantifying Measures-of-Effectiveness (MOEs), analyzing simulation results to draw meaningful conclusions, preparing reports/briefings, and presenting analysis results. The ability to travel on occasion is required
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Basic Qualifications
• Technical degree (Master of Science or above preferred) in Engineering, Applied Math or Operations Research
• Knowledge of military systems with extensive operations analysis background
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem solving
• Proven customer engagement experience; with demonstrated skill to develop & deliver effective presentations
• Demonstrated capability to apply engineering principles, analytical techniques
• Knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering processes with demonstrated skills to work across multi-disciplines
• Extensive prior experience in application of discrete or Monte Carlo simulations of military operations (e.g. Suppressor, AFSIM, EADSIM, ESAMS)
• Proven ability to effectively lead technical team to plan, execute, and deliver analytic products in support of decision makers

• Must have an active Top Secret clearance with a current background investigation and ability to obtain SAR program clearances

Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access

Desired skills
• Experience in new business capture; including proposal writing • Domain knowledge of strike and ISR systems including experience analyzing advanced concepts in strike or ISR mission context
• Experience in developing and applying analytical methods (design of experiments, optimization, trade studies, data analytics, statistical analysis)
• Proven interpersonal and organizational skills, with demonstrated oral and written communication proficiency
• Demonstrated excellent customer interaction and coordination skills; i.e., illustrate the ability to comfortably interface with and brief company, government, military service and industry leaders
• Project management experience
• Knowledge of radar, electronic warfare, resource management, communications, or cyber operations
• Special Access Clearances to support current ADP programs and concept/technology evaluations
