Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program

Lockheed Martin is looking for world-class talent in Operations Analysis to join our historic Skunk Works team in Palmdale, CA. The team is seeking a candidate who can develop and use engineering-based techniques, advanced analytical methods, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision-making and quantify value proposition for advanced concepts and technology applications. We need a candidate who is passionate about working on cutting-edge design concepts; comfortable with ambiguity; thinks strategically and creatively with proven analytical and engineering problem-solving skills; and thrives in a high-performing team environment.

Collaborating with a team of analysts, the selected candidate will be responsible for modeling and analysis of military systems to quantify the impact of operational concepts (CONOPS), air system design, payloads, and tactics; as well as perform analysis to support requirements definition, concept of operations evaluation, operational and cost effectiveness studies, and military utility assessment. Responsibilities will include researching military systems performance and operations, modeling military systems and scenarios in digital simulations, designing and executing trade studies, quantifying Measures-of-Effectiveness (MOEs), analyzing simulation results to draw meaningful conclusions, preparing reports/briefings and presenting analysis results. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills as the position will require frequent interactions and collaboration with leadership, project leads, other team members, and engineers in other disciplines. The ability to travel on occasion is required

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Must be a US Citizen as this position is located at a facility that requires special access

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors or above degree from an accredited college in related technical discipline
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and skills to solve complex technical problems
• Proficiency to apply scientific/mathematical principles and analytical techniques to analyze system performance
• Proficient in scripting/programming (MATLAB or Perl/Python experience)
• Must have an active Secret clearance with a current background investigation and ability to obtain Top Secret and SAR program clearances

Desired skills
• Aerospace or mechanical engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or Operations Research degree preferred
• Experience with trade study execution, data analysis, and delivering analysis results
• Military operations analysis experience
• Knowledge of surface and airborne military systems, operations, and Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS)
• Hands-on experience with discrete or Monte Carlo simulations; specifically Suppressor, AFSIM, EADSIM, ESAMS, or Brawler highly desired
• Proficiency with C++/JAVA /XML
• Design of experiments, statistics and/or optimization knowledge
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated skill to develop & deliver effective presentations
• Active Top Secret Clearance preferred
