Job Details

The NIST Time and Frequency Division seeks a postdoctoral candidate in physics, electrical engineering, or a related discipline for innovative work on world-leading time and frequency systems.

The successful candidate will work in a division of about 100 scientists and engineers on a challenging program to develop innovative timing systems and frequency standards to meet the ever-increasing synchronization demands of a highly interconnected society.

A background in experimental physics/engineering is required. Experience in instrument design, optical systems and precision measurements, as well as a background in atomic physics are desirable.

Requirements
