Work as part of multi-disciplinary systems engineering team supporting NORAD/USNORTHCOM Directorates with engineering and analysis products. Primary current sponsor priorities include distributed multi-domain enterprise IT, network modernization, theater and special mission communications assurance for senior leaders and areas of concern for NORAD/USNORTHCOM, radar/sensing planning and experimentation for defense of North America.












Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications


  • Experience in commercial satellite communications protocols and equipment


  • Experience/familiarity with commercial and military satellite and radio waveforms


  • Hands on experience operating commercial or military wideband and narrowband radios


  • Familiarity with industry and/or military encryption techniques


  • Applied Systems Engineering experience


  • Familiarity with Combatant Commands and Service Component employment of mobile/deployable radios and satellite communications


  • Understanding of DoD command and control processes and programs of record

     

Preferred Qualifications


  • Familiarity with NORAD/USNORTHCOM a plus


  • Good written/oral communication skills desired


  • Existing DoD clearance (S, TS, etc.) desired, with ability to be cleared to TS/SCI
