Job Details

Member of the Lockheed Martin network team for the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. The individual selected for this position will serve as a Senior Network Engineer and Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) event network representative on a dynamic and experienced team responsible for engineering, design, deployment, and maintenance of the DMOC's network architecture in support of complex distributed training events. The network engineer senior position will collaborate closely with other members of the DMOC team to ensure that protocol and Information Assurance standards are applied. The work environment requires the ability to rapidly design or revise, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot network architectures. The individual selected for this position must be comfortable in a fast paced environment and be able to quickly adapt to emerging requirements and changing priorities. Some travel is required

Basic Qualifications
•Have skill, knowledge, and experience in designing IP networks and installing, maintaining, and configuring LANs and WANs
•Knowledge of IP network/subnet addressing and be able to design networks that are high performing, fault-tolerant, and secure
•Have a background in network security as defined by DISA STIGs or similar Information Assurance requirements
•Experience in the implementation of access and monitoring controls on external connections
•Demonstrated experience with CISCO ASA Firewalls and ACLs
•Thorough working knowledge of network communications standards and protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, SNMP, IPSec (VPN's, tunnels), TIA/EIA 568, etc.)

Desired skills
•Troubleshooting experience on network Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues, with knowledge of VLANS, TCP/IP, VPNs, Spanning Tree Protocol
•Solid OSI Layer 3 knowledge: VPNs, VRFs, (MPLS) and routing protocols such as EIGRP and BGP
•Experience with network management tools such as Solarwinds and/or Cisco Works
•Experience with various H.323 type technologies such as VOIP, VTC, Gatekeepers, etc.
•Experience in a distributed simulation or learning environment
•Network + Certification
•Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) or High-level Architecture (HLA) protocols
•Encryption device / COMSEC experience
•Current CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certification
•Creation of diagrams using Visio
•Be an independent problem solver with a variety of network engineering abilities
•Have excellent oral/written communication skills and customer relationship skills; and meet security eligibility requirements.
•Experience in the configuration of core switches, access switches, routers, firewalls, call managers, and VTC bridges
•Current Security + CE certification required.
•Active Secret or higher clearance with an SSBI background check required, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
