Job Details

Candidate must have previous design experience with networks. Switch and router configuration design required. Experience with network security capabilities such as SYSLOG NG, IBM Proventia Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), web proxy and/or ArcSight. Certifications in the industry vendors Cisco (CCNA, CCNP) or Juniper (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP) components preferred. Understanding of network communication protocols and network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) and IP network troubleshooting. Experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, ATM, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs. Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) a plus

Basic Qualifications
Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools. Must be responsible to work independently / solo at times on large in the field projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other network engineers

Individual can solve problems at a system level. The following are experiences that are positives / pluses for the candidate, but not required for filling the position. If individual has any prior knowledge of the networks and customer organization. If candidate has knowledge, skill sets or experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (such as Wireshark). Experience in DoD authentication & encryption methods/capabilities (Taclanes (KG-175), Active Directory, GEM-X). Experience in Network Management Systems (HP, NeuralStar or Solarwinds NPM/NCM) or NAS/SAN technologies (NetApp, Sun, or Gigastore)

Desired skills
Candidate shall develop technical documents and assist in the preparation of risk analysis and provide programmatic and technical insight for the development of network solutions for MIL-STD-3011C JREAP Appendix C data link connectivity requirements. Experience with MIL-STD-6016 a plus. Candidate shall provide development/ integration engineering support to contract users

Candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating, sustaining, and operating the iC2BMC networks. Individual must be able to clearly articulate network interface issues internal and external customer. Candidate will be expected to configure/construct terrestrial, SATCOM, and RF (MIDS-based)fault tolerant networks in a peer-to-peer configuration. Knowledge of QoS networks enabling time-critical message flow within the network is a plus. Knowledge of Continuation of Operations (COOP) design in support of network failover architecture also a plus
