Job Details

Seeking an experienced person to learn and support the Missile Warning Algorithms and Simulation. Will learn how to run the Missile Warning Simulation, do requirements assessment, and support software integration. Will work to analyze and improve discrimination algorithms. Individual will work as part of a team in reviewing building up to contract award and then on to a successful PDR, CDR, and Flight Test Program. Will identify improvement needs, and determine best solution. Simulation updates to improve analysis capability will also be involved

Candidate should have experience with Missile Warning algorithms. Candidate should have experience or familiarity in some/all of the following technology areas: linear algebra, stochastic systems, optimal estimation theory, Kalman Filter applications, kinematics, and rotating coordinate systems.

Candidate should possess good organizational and communication skills with the ability to quickly, accurately and concisely document and present their work. The individual should be fluent in Matlab and C++ as well as have experience implementing and debugging Navigation algorithms

The successful candidate must be self motivated, possess the ability to strive under limited supervision in a variety of work environments, be proactive in consulting experts to resolve technical issues and be willing to take full schedule and cost ownership of their assigned tasks

Basic Qualifications
A Modeling and Simulation Engineer's primary endeavor is to represent physical and functional truth (capability) into an advanced high fidelity computer simulation capable of predicting system pre-deployment performance, or otherwise assisting in the interpretation of real world test results. These modeling and simulation tasks run the gamut from hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), 6 DOF Integrated Flight simulations (IFS), system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), and end-to-end battle management systems (BMS)

Of specific interest is a Modeling and Simulation engineer capable of integrating guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms into a high fidelity IFS. Inclusive in this capability is the performance of trade studies and simulation analyses with the objective of enhancing and optimizing system performance capability

Must have a secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years

Desired skills
Matlab, C++ programming skills

Missile Warning threat detection and Electro-Optical algorithm experience is highly desired
