Job Details

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for HRL’s very large scale integration IC design efforts with hands-on integration of various multi-functional analog and digital IP cores as well as specifying and verifying circuits through physical implementation. Interact with many specialized IC efforts and plan specific functions. Generate circuit designs and design for test (integration with the product definition to ensure suitable test electronics and user interface).

EXPERIENCE DESIRED: 10+ years designing mixed signal ICs contributing through all aspects of the design flow including: architecture trades, floorplan, design, simulation, verification, integration, tapeout, and characterization. Circuit design experience with core building blocks such as ADCs, DACs, low power high fidelity sense amps, and high speed memory IO. Familiarity integrating on-chip parallel analog arrays with custom digital interfaces. Applicant should have knowledge of physical design verification techniques especially as they pertain to stitching, crossing ground planes, power drops, and signal integrity.

KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: Circuit design tools as they relate to performing necessary mixed-signal VLSI design, verification, and tapeout tasks. Understanding of circuit and RTL coding concepts, semiconductor device physics, physical design and implementation techniques, and image sensors. Industry standards and protocols used in IC data transfer along with data analysis tools for image capture and characterization.

EDUCATION DESIRED: MS or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or related field KEYWORDS: CIS, CMOS Imaging Sensor, CMOS, CMOS design, VLSI, ROIC, IC, IC Design, Sensor, Imaging, IR, Circuit Designer, Chip Designer, Analog Circuit, Mixed Signal.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in use of computers, engineering work stations, test equipment, verbal and written communication, interaction with customers/colleagues in a team-oriented/fast-paced environment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (e.g. driver’s license special tools or restrictions):U.S. citizenship required. Ability to obtain Interim and/or Final Security Clearance (Post Start); Active DoD Security Clearance, SSBI is a plus.
