Develops and evaluates testing/calibration systems for physical/electronic equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating calibration standards and special devices. Creates a team setting that encourages innovation, creativity, and initiative

Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Specifies, defines, and writes new calibration, test, and other maintenance procedures. Performs metrology quality assurance functions as required to measure technician and laboratory performance. Provides technical metrology training to technicians as required. Resolves technical, procedural, and material problems working with the technicians, Government Representatives, Naval Calibration entities, Commercial Vendors, and other Lockheed Martin organizations for calibration and repair of Test and Measurement Equipment. Design and develop automated and semi-automated information processing applications using Microsoft Office tools to manipulate, store and report NVLAP calibration data. Mathematically prove and document commercial and locally developed calibration software applications in accordance with TSB proofing procedures. Analyze, design, program, test and deploy automatic calibration programs using various applications including MS Access, MS Excel and Fluke Met/Cal. Maintain the laboratory web site and SharePoint entries, including training, accreditation, and metrology information. Analyze system errors, interpret, and utilize NIST and/or other International Standards Organization (ISO) or other reports and corrections for any level of calibration and measurement for development of uncertainty budgets. Develop and perform trend data analysis for laboratory standards.
Must have demonstrated ability to work independently; must have demonstrated ability to work in a highly structured teaming environment, when required; perform electrical/physical metrology measurements for the purpose of engineering analysis; troubleshoot and resolve calibration system problems; develop metrology measurement techniques and procedures; and give technical assistance to others. Demonstrated leadership skills are highly desired
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Basic Qualifications
-Minimum of three years of documented calibration laboratory experience
-Five years experience troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
-Ability to perform electrical/physical metrology measurements for the purpose of engineering analysis
-Ability to develop metrology measurement techniques and procedures
-Ability to give technical assistance to others
-Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
