This position is for a highly motivated Electrical Engineer knowledgeable in the field of power electronics. Candidate will aide in the design and development of advanced power supplies, power systems and power distribution for RADAR and other military systems. This includes managing requirements, maintaining power budgets, performing detailed analysis, component selection, design documentation including schematics and parts lists, cable design, create test plans, writing reports, and support the build/test of the designed assemblies. Flexibility, ability to multi-task, and the ability to work well within a team environment is required

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 1 year experience working with power supplies and power systems
- Knowledge in switching and linear power supply design and test.
- Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, DVMs, etc. is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance

Desired skills
- Familiar with power conversion topologies/techniques as well as designs involving COTS products.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment involving both manufacturing and the laboratory, have demonstrated ability to act independently, and demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- The candidate is expected to be a hands-on individual that desires to work with actual hardware
- Familiarity with PCB design and construction would be beneficial. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written/verbal skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office software
- PSPICE and/or LTSPICE tool Experience
- Power System Simulation and Modeling Experience
- AC/DC and DC/DC Converter Design Knowledge
- Advanced power conversion techniques
- Excellent testing and troubleshooting skills
- Familiar with military requirements such as MIL-STD-1399, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461 (EMI and EMC)
- Knowledge of Electrical Safety Standards
- Design for pulsed load applications
- Design for high power applications
- SMPS Line Conducted filter design
- Bus Bar design for power distribution
- Programmable Logic Controller design
