Job Details

Fulfill role as the Deployed-to Manager of the Thermal Engineering Group for Military Support Programs in the Special Programs Line Of Business (SP LOB). Manage thermal engineering efforts, provide technical oversight and mentoring, and promote standard technical processes and best practices. Perform management duties including scheduling, tasking, reporting status, CATS time approvals, and control account manager (CAM) functions for the thermal engineering control accounts. Fulfill role as Reports-to Manager of MSP thermal engineering group for Aerodynamics, Fluids, & Thermal Analysis Sr. Manager within the Mechanical and Propulsion Engineering (MPE) Major Functional Organization (MFO). Perform personnel leadership duties, including LM Commit, salary management, and promotions

This role may expand to include leadership responsibility for other SP thermal employees in addition to MSP

Basic Qualifications
- Current SCI security clearance with EBI.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate, and lead groups of engineering personnel.
- Knowledge of MSP program
- 10 years required experience as a spacecraft thermal analyst/design subject matter expert
- Strong technical skill and extensive experience in aerospace thermal engineering, including computer-aided and classical analysis methods.
- Experience utilizing standard thermal engineering tools, such as Thermal Desktop.
- Requires a minimum of 14 years of technical experience with a engineering bachelors degree, 12 years of technical experience with an engineering masters degree, or 9 years of technical experience with an engineering doctorate degree.
- Demonstrated performance equivalent to Level 5

Desired skills
Considered a technical leader in thermal engineering - design, analysis, and test. Demonstrated leadership experience. Familiarity with SP LOB customer, hardware, and development processes. Ability to work closely with functional and program management, as well as other thermal engineering leaders and experts. Exhibits Full Spectrum Leadership behavior and actions
