Job Details

Provide development and product integration support of Orion Launch Abort System (LAS) structural and mechanical products. Complete stress analysis, write and approve stress and verifications reports on structural systems, support structural component testing. Coordinate technical changes and conduct and support design reviews as required. Must be able to conceptualize solutions and implement as part of the engineering release process. Candidate must have experience in analysis disciplines. Desired to have experience in manufacturing support and test of major spacecraft structures. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Flexibility and experience on integrated product teams is desirable

Basic Qualifications
BSME from accredited college or equivalent with +2 years experience. Analytical skills in FEM modeling and stress analysis tools (NASTRAN, FEMAP, NX preferred). Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task in a demanding and fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work in a cost and schedule constrained environment. Ability to communicate how and why a design meets specified requirements both in writing and verbally. MS Project, Excel, & PowerPoint fluency

Desired skills
Experience analyzing large composite structures. Experience supporting component load testing. Experience in classical stress analysis techniques. Experience with NASA programs, NASA design requirements, NASA Fracture Control and fatigue life assessments. Familiarity with LM and Orion drawing release process
