This position Is located in Denver Colorado and supports the Air Force Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Technical Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) Program. This Mechanical Engr Sr Staff position reports to the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Senior Mgr. leading the Post Boost Propulsion team in developing the preliminary design for the Post Boost Propulsion System which includes the propulsion attitude control system (PACS) which could be bi prop or solids and the Post Boost module structures that houses the PACS, Avionics, Guidance and Power Systems. This propulsion leader will be the technical conduit for managing the subcontracts with the PACS teammates. This candidate shall lead his team in the development of the PACS and Structures Specifications including requirement analysis, allocation and decomposition and verification, interfaces including Ordnance, Avionics, Guidance, Power and Cabling, Flight Test Equipment and support with the flight sciences group of model developments for aero, trajectories, loads, dynamics and thermal along with mass properties. Perform PBPS error analyses and inputs to the quarterly WS error model notebook and semiannual WS Error Model/Error Estimate/Capability Estimate. Lead PBPS TMRR trade studies, assess results and generate trade study CDRL report. Trade studies include Liquid bi-propellant vs solid propellant vs alternate propellants and Thruster location/sizing, gimbaled axial vs fixed distributed. This candidate shall lead his team in developing products and deliverables required for the program System Requirements Review, Trade Studies for the Cost Capability TIM, System Functional Review, 9QTIM and Preliminary Design Review including the preliminary design and engineering for the PACS and Structures along with supporting analyses, such as PBPS reliability, availability, maintainability, survivability, nuclear hardness, EMI/EMC, hazard analyses, system safety, age sensitivity analyses. Provide inputs to model based Systems Engineering artifacts. This position will start in September of 2017, and is contingent upon the GBSD TMRR award in September of 2017

- Experience with DOORS
- Experience with SysML, System Modeling Tools (MagicDraw) and Archiecture Views (DoDAF)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project).
- Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members.
- Effectively manage change
