This position is for senior level mechanical project engineer and service life assessment coordinator. The candidate will be responsible for managing missile body mechanical controls service life evaluation programs for the thrust vector control system, post boost control system, and small motors. The candidate will also be responsible for seeing component(s) through the full product life-cycle (design, build, test, integration, and age management). This includes project responsibility for component suppliers, sub-tier supplier, qualification, and the manufacturing process. The candidate will also be responsible for engineering documentation, configuration management, subcontract support, support for the next higher assembly integration tests, component test support, and cross discipline product development

Specific tasks for this position include: Development and coordination of test programs and analysis activities for the TVC, PBCS, and Small Motor service life evaluation programs including related customer /supplier interaction and proposal development. Supplier management at the component level, development and coordination of again program analyses and tests, project budget management, leading investigations, and complete understanding and ownership of assigned hardware

Basic Qualifications
*Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace or other related engineering degree.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint)
*Experience with CAD tools
*Coursework/experience in gas/fluid dynamics
*Coursework/experience in aerospace material sciences
*Demonstrated experienced with technical writing
*Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
*Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

Desired skills
*MS Degree Preferred.
Experience working with the FBM program
*Education or experience with missiles, solid propellants, and common aerospace materials.
*Experience developing and/or leading test programs which drive the development of actionable engineering data.
*Experience developing, performing, and/or leading analysis tasks which drive the development of actionable engineering data.
*Experience with I-DEAS or Pro-E/CREO
*Project leadership experience
*Excellent communication skills
