Manufacturing Lead Staff for the Military Support Program Mechanical Products Team
The candidate will drive delivery of satellite mechanical configurations and bus/payload equipment layouts. Must collaborate effectively with program leadership, technical leadership, subject matter experts, peers, analysis, configuration control, procurement, planning and production

Specific tasks and responsibilities include the following:
• Drive producibility, testability, and affordability into mechanical products
• Coordinate all manufacturing and assembly activities at MMC to ensure hardware schedules and budget commitments are met. Includes oversight of tooling design and procurement, manufacturing material procurement, material planning &scheduling, production planning and labor budget planning.
• Collaborate with the CAM to manage hardware schedules and cost accounts
• Establish and cultivate relationships with program and functional leadership to ensure achievement of LOB objectives
• Provide continuity through the production phase and manage the transition of products
• Oversee the synthesis of customer contractual needs and requirements
• Coordinate nonconformance disposition closure with CPEs/MMC
• Visit Supplier Facilities
• Participate in Manufacturing Readiness Reviews and Pre Ship Reviews

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field +9 years of experience, or Master of Science Degree +7 years of experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and documentation including machining, fabrication and assembly
• Knowledge of other engineering disciplines such as stress, dynamics, thermal analysis, production, ATLO, systems engineering, etc
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Desired skills
• Experience using EPDM
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin specifications/tools/procedures
• Experience working with internal/external suppliers
• Knowledge of composite structure/mechanism design and fabrication
• Experience with SharePoint
• Technical leadership experience
