Job Details

This position Is located in Denver Colorado and supports the Air Force Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Technical Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) Program. This Mechanical Engineer Assoc position supports the overall Weapons Systems Engineering Integration and Test (WSEIT) Team and WSEIT Mgr. by performing requirements tasks such as creation of the Post Boost Specification, Requirements analysis, allocation and decomposition, generation of specification trees, Level 1 and level 2 requirements specification generation, verification planning and support to the program SFR, SRR and PDR events and deliverables. This position will start in September of 2017, and is contingent upon the GBSD TMRR award in September of 2017

Basic Qualifications
'- Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering Principles
- Knowledge of Requirements development and management
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and teamwork with internal customers
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools
- Experience with engineering post boost missile systems
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience

Structural system lead and program interface
Structural system requirements definition and draft spec generation
Interface definition with Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C), propulsion subcontractor, RS/RV, boost propulsion and ordnance
Primary and key secondary structural modeling, preliminary design and drawing generation, including the interface control document (ICD)
Preliminary structural and dynamic analysis of primary and key secondary structures
Thermal analysis of structure, including external launch and ascent environments, propulsion exhaust induced environment and component heating
Drawing and analysis review and approval
Inputs to preliminary design Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) report
Resolution of technical issues
