The selected candidate will be responsible for: working with Production Operations (especially Final Finish and Flight Line) to resolve issues associated with the application of LO materials in a high-rate environment, Signature M&P (SM&P) supplier coordination, helping to develop and reviewing training curricula, coordination with operational bases, depots, and flight test centers, development and writing of processes and specifications for various LO material systems, coordination with all Engineering disciplines affected by SM&P decisions, reporting issues and/or results to upper management and/or the customer, development and execution of material qualification plans, and overall coordination with contractor and JPO Material, Signature, Sustainment, ES&H, Supply Chain Management, and Supportable LO engineers. Basic Qualifications
Applicant must be experienced in Aeronautical Signature Material & Processes (SM&P) procedures and requirements, and possess extensive experience with Aeronautical Low Observable (LO) materials’ application in a high-rate production environment.
Applicant must be able to independently assess need for SM&P involvement in Production Operations issues and concerns, and be able to further judge the required level of engagement required.
Applicant must be well-versed in F-35 Production Operations operational models, and be familiar with potential sources of error and quality escapes.
Applicant must be able to use Product Data Management (PDM) and Quality Assurance Document System (QADS), know how to sign Build To Processes (BTP) and disposition Quality Assurance Reports (QAR) and Supplier Quality Assurance Reports (SQAR), and be able to work across Integrate Product Teams (IPT) as necessary to achieve closure.
Applicant must be able to manage routine customer and supplier interactions, and have an understanding of Aeronautical Procurement processes for materials.
Applicant must be familiar with both Material and Process specifications, and be able to collaborate on author and release updates and original documents of either type.
Applicant must be familiar with Aeronautical SM&P material development and qualification protocols, and be able to work with SM&P management to develop, schedule, and price material investigations ranging in scope from minor updates to new inventions, and to work with lab personal to execute these investigations.

Desired skills
Applicant should be experienced with the F-35 Corrective Action (CA) process, and be able to both support and lead a CA team.
Applicant should be able to manage and/or direct complex customer and supplier interactions, and should be very familiar with Procurement processes, practices, and personnel.
Applicant should be able to independently assess required disposition(s) for QARs, SPARs, and PRs and work across IPTs as necessary to achieve closure.
Applicant must be familiar with both Material and Process specifications, and be able to independently author and release updates and original documents of either type.
Applicant should be able to independently develop, schedule, and price material investigations ranging in scope from minor updates to new inventions, and to work with lab personal to execute these investigations.
Applicant should be able to initiate, bid, and execute F-35 Blueprint for Affordability and Reliability / Maintainability Improvement Program efforts
Applicant must be familiar with the Aeronautical Blueprint for Affordability and Reliability / Maintainability Improvement Program, and be able to support BFA and RMIP bids and execute the SM&P ‘share’ of such programs
