Job Details

Engage in Materials and Processes (M&P) technical engineering assignments related to hardware manufacturing, assembly processes and testing. Assignments will have an emphasis on technical evaluation and direct support of in-house Electronic Manufacturing issues/concerns and process developments. Candidate will participate in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of M&P, prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers, analyze test reports and work with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement

Basic Qualifications
Background in Physics, Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Experience with Engineering design practices (drawing reviews, schematic reviews, etc.). Demonstrated technical leadership. Expertise in a variety of Materials and Processes engineering disciplines including soldering, adhesives, bonding, cleaning, failure analysis and/or manufacturing operations. Knowledge of Materials and Processes for development, design, application and production. Experience presenting to Customers. Experience in electronics manufacturing, particularly circuit card assembly and electronic packaging. Good written and verbal skills

Desired skills
Electronic subassemblies experience is highly desired. Disposition of nonconforming parts, materials and processes and Materials Review Board experience is highly desired. Technical Leadership in failure analysis and root cause analysis experience desired. Experience partnering with subcontractors and suppliers is desired.

Ability to multi-task, handle shifting priorities and timeline pressure to meet project deadlines
