Job Details

Materials and Processes (M&P) technical engineering assignments related to hardware assembly processes and testing. Assignments will include technical evaluation and support of manufacturing issues/concerns. Candidate will participate in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of M&P, prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports and work with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement in resolving material or process issues. Candidate must have ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security clearance

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Physics, Material Sciences, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Knowledge of Parts, Materials and Processes for development, improvement, design, application and production. Good computer skills, good oral and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills are required

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Desired skills
Working knowledge of design, manufacturing, materials and processes is a plus. Understanding of the physics behind electrostatic discharge effects and related protection is a plus. Ability to multi-task, handle shifting priorities and timeline pressure to meet project deadlines. A well organized, self-starter able to take direction, work effectively independently or in a team environment. Able to work well virtually with other sites. Understanding of material properties definitions and previous electronic hardware assembly is highly desired. Knowledge of engineering specification requirements and interpretations is desirable. Knowledge of configuration management principles. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and SharePoint is highly desired
