Job Details

- Reports to the U-2 Production Operations Senior Manager and is tasked with the successful execution of U-2 manufacturing activities
-Operates with little or no oversight from supervision ensuring all manufacturing commitments to the program/business office are satisfied and data provided is IAW their respective guidelines. Candidate is responsible for obtaining necessary approval from immediate supervision as required before submittals. Candidate is responsible for prioritization of his/her workload to ensure all commitments are satisfied within schedule
- Ensures manufactured parts are available to support the PDM line and field requirements.
- Uses blueprints, sim-tos, tech data, labor reports, engineering concepts, and verbal descriptions to develop estimates for manufacturing activities
- Uses Manufacturing estimates, the SOW, Pricing instructions and personal notes to write the Basis of Estimates, Resource Allocation Sheets and Checklists for proposed manufacturing activities
- Works with and advises Contracts and the PMs during proposal negotiations, fact finds and challenges to ensure equitable and executable solutions are found
- Establishes budgets for the Manufacturing departments, Planning, Tooling, Tool Design and NC Programming. Functions as the CAM on many Manufacturing accounts. Works with Finance to establish trackable earned value measurement systems for manufacturing activities
- Works closely with PMs and Engineering management to ensure the successful execution of manufacturing activities supporting Special Projects, Demos, TCTOs and other high-visibility efforts
- Monitors U-2 manufacturing activities in the shops and provides Program oversight. Works with Core Manufacturing and Production Control to achieve Program goals
- Represents and answers for Manufacturing at various U-2 meetings, working groups and functions.
- Functions as the Manufacturing POC for the U-2 Program Office; supports walk-up traffic and one-offs as schedule permits

Basic Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, SFM, QADS, Relevant, Quotes, Business Objects and MS Office applications is a must
- Experience reading blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Experience estimating manufacturing activities
- Experience with EVMS concepts and methodologies

Desired skills
Familiarity with LMA-Palmdale manufacturing processes, capabilities and limitations
Ability to communicate effectively with all disciplines
strong math skills
