In addition to leading and directing the work of others, this engineer is responsible for performing an assortment of complex engineering duties such as manufacturing planning and the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical apparatus. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Leverage new and existing technologies in order to develop creative solutions to manufacturing challenges. Strong emphasis on problem solving and error proofing of manufacturing processes, waste/cost reduction, and labor efficiency improvement.
Ideal candidate would have:
+ B.S. in Engineering or other technical field
+ Experience with PLC based controls, vision systems, HMIs, drives, robotics, and similar technologies, as well as a working knowledge of analog/digital electrical controls devices such as sensors, switches, transducers, drives, etc.
+ Ability to design basic industrial electrical cabinets, controls, and systems; including the creation of schematics, BOMs, and layout drawings
+ Basic working knowledge of computer/controls networking and related communications protocols
+ Experience with shop floor data collection, transfer, and manipulation (e.g. SQL database queries)
+ Experience with assembly automation and testing of complex electromechanical systems
+ Experience with equipment integration and communications across multiple dissimilar platforms
+ Experience with periphery devices such as torque drivers, leak testers, etc.
+ Experience in high volume, high variation manufacturing environment
+ Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
+ A master's degree or equivalent is preferred.
+ Requires at least 8 years related experience.Understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering field.
+ Expert with analytical and CAD software.
+ Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans.
+ Excellent oral and written communications skills.
