Job Details

Provide Mfg. Engineering Technical support within Blades Mill/Drill and Titanium line, ensuring processes are completed according to blueprint requirements and delivered to the customer in a timely manner. Create and maintain work instructions, tooling orders, and provide rework/repair work instruction to shop floor personnel as necessary.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for team’s Mfg. Engineering support of blades Mill/Drill and Ti Line while adhering to safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
• Preparation and presentation of Product Cost Council (PCC) tickets
• Responsible for initiating and executing high visibility projects with minimal supervision.
• Research and implement new technology w/in the group.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance & Design Engineering when applying GD&T principles to machining processes
• Responsible for providing a safe work environment by leading/participating in Environmental, Health and Safety (ESH) projects
• Ensure that the technical issues are resolved prior to new product launch.
• Assist Operations with root cause investigations and corrective action plans to drive Producibility improvements
• Initiate Mfg. engineering cost projects in support of reducing direct labor and scrap/rework/repair cost

Basic Qualifications
BS degree w/5+ years’ experience, OR AS degree w/10+ years’ experience

Desired skills
Sikorsky aircraft experience a plus, specifically knowledge of manufacturing engineering practices. Background in manufacturing techniques and processes, CNC machining knowledge and associated tooling, GD&T, and engineering, materials. Extensive knowledge of computers, engineering software applications, and MS Office. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. MatrixOne experience. Solumina G6 / G7 experience. SAP experience & CAD / Catia v5 / solid modeling a plus
